G-Lab's Keyz Hydrogen Mechanical Keyboard
For G-Lab's Keyz Hydrogen compact keyboard launch, we developed an animated product film that brings attention to its key features—customizable RGB lighting, ergonomic design, and multiple color variants—through carefully crafted motion design.
G-Lab's brief was straightforward: create an animation that shows what makes the Keyz Hydrogen keyboard special. The compact design, the RGB capabilities, the color options, the build quality. We started by studying the product itself, understanding its proportions, how the lighting system works, what details deserve emphasis.
The animation structure emerged from thinking about how you'd naturally explore a new keyboard. You'd look at it from different angles, notice the clean design, test the lighting, appreciate small details. We translated that curiosity into camera movement and pacing. Some moments are slow and detailed, letting you see material quality and construction. Others are more dynamic, showing the keyboard from unexpected angles or highlighting the RGB effects in motion.
We used graphic elements to provide context—calling out features like quiet keys or ergonomic design—but always in service of the overall visual flow. The color variants cycle through naturally, integrated into the animation rather than presented as a separate section.
The soundtrack ties everything together, giving the piece rhythm and energy while staying true to G-Lab's brand identity. The result is a showcase that informs without lecturing, and entertains without losing focus on the product.
